A Musical Christmas of '07

It's Christmas eve. I'm home alone, still recovering from my cold. PBS is having the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on, and next is the Boston Pops (photo above). Christmas to me means music, and lot and lots of it, it's a happy season:)

P.S. If you're home alone tonight too, here's my present to you, the old good cartoon of my childhood years.
P.S.2. PBS continued with Christmas at Belmont, which was quite good too. Thanks god for pbs!

I'm not home alone, but the situation I am in, is far more disgusting than being lonely. My roommate is playing backgammon with his friend and the noise from the dice is getting on my nerves

May Santa tear them apart

Salam Jeerjeerak Jan. Merry Christmas! Thanks for your video selection, it's a perfect gift.

I am home alone, too. I left my family at 7:00 p.m. (as I was bursting out of my clothes for all the food I have been eating this week), and came home to see my sons all dressed up to go visit with friends in San Francisco. I finished cleaning up from last night's party, and sat down to write and read. It's really relaxing, actually, and having the flannel pajamas on helps, too! Imagine, if we were all living near each other, we could have gotten together for a pajama party and rescued Max Allen from the dice! Have a Merry Christmas my friend and get better soon. Kisses.

Thanks everyone for visiting me on my home-alone christmas eve:)

Yes, Tameshk joonam, that cartoon was the highlight of christmas for many of us back then:) And, i didn't think of the important role of the Jeerjeerak in the cartoon, thanks you Mr Bayramali, yay, i'm a very important spirit! And thank you Max Allen! you did give me such a wonderful surprise, now i recall Orm the worm, and JeerJeer the infant bird:) I looked around for it a bit this christmas morning, here's what i found: http://www.toonhound.com/ormcheep.htm
Nazy joonam, i bought myself a set of chocolate color flannel sheets as a holiday present. it's soooo soft and cozy and warm, i hardly wanna get out of bed in the mornings;)

I leave you with this story. Isn't it sweeeeet?

Well, I am part Iranian/part Danish so Christmas is something we always celebrated on Christmas Eve, per my Danish side and traditions so it was just a small affair involving my husband, me and two kids though it holds no religious significance for me (not religious at all) but is mostly a way to honor my grandfather who cherished Christmas so...

And for my hubby 'tis a way to incorporate a winter solstice thang into our yearly hoiday groove...

By the way, doing the rounds on fellow Iranian bloggers I found some months ago and am just getting to pop in... hope your night alone turned out ok and that next year you have something quite happening and less lonely on your agenda!

:-)
