Lamingtons!

I can't believe how much work it was!
Lamingtons are some kind of Australian treats. They are cake cubes, coated in a layer of chocolate icing then desiccated coconut. It took me 2 days and a totally wrecked kitchen and a back pain to make these, but it was worthed. I MADE Lamingtons :D
I also successfully made Tameshk's turkey meatloaf, plus some Magic cookie bars. I've had my share of cooking this thanksgiving weekend, from now on, i'll just sit back and eat:) Btw, this video teaches you how to cut the turkey, in case you need to perform the task tomorrow, i'll again sit back and eat the cut turkey!

BTW, I liked the clip from Katie Melua alot. Clip theme is better than the song itself. Good selection!

Banoo jan, i'll be looking forward to the recipe:)
Mr. Bayram, tell us how the turkey cutting went!
Roja janam, yes, the meatloaf turned out great, thanks alot for the recipe and pictures. Next time i think i'll let it sit in the oven for more than 40 min to have it crispier.
Fly Jan, my friend's wife is australian and that's how! Have a great trip and eat some lamingtons on my behalf as well:)
Babak jan, yes, it is in fact an interesting and bizarre clip. I liked the song more however, Katie Melua is my new find.

Salam Jeerjeerak Jan:

That looks absolutely heavenly. I should say that I am not a baker at all, and I can't bake a sponge cake to save my life! Therefore I eat what my friends can bake, and so I'm glad to see that someday I will get to eat lamingtons, too!

For your information, as the turkey was put on the table, with the carving knife and fork on the side, I approached Bayramali and whispered in his ear:

Me: Bayram, did you watch the video clip?

Bayramali: Which video clip?

Me: The video clip Jeerjeerak told you to watch, to learn how to carve the turkey....

Bayramali:....rastesh.........na...

Me: Do you want to try carving the turkey, anyway?

Bayramali:.....haghighatesh...na...

So, that's what happened. Jahanshah and my friend Hadi took turns cutting and serving the turkey. I soooo wanted to tell you (chogholi) about Bayramali's non-existent help with the turkey. His saving grace was that a) he was charming as usual, helping in other areas of my entertainment, and b) he played music and sang songs for us, so he is forgiven. Please try another approach next time! Love you jeer Jan. Wished you were here. We did miss you and talked about you lots.
