Family... you don't often realize what a huge source of constant care and love they are to you till for any reason you're robbed out of it. My parents left for Iran today. My mom stayed here for almost 5 months. I turned on the tv to kill the silence, Emmy's red carpet interviews are on, and i'm thinking how much my mom would like watching this...
Tonight my small apartment looks and feels cold and blue.

Akhay Jeerjeerak Jan, Jashoon khali nabasheh! I know what you mean about our families' only too short visits to us, no matter how long they stay. When my parents were alive they would spend half the year here and the other half in Iran. My sisters and I were forever fighting over who would get to take them home. I was talking to a friend today who told me how much he misses his mother whom he hasn't seen for seven years. I have another friend whose mother has advanced breast cancer and for various reasons he can't get to see her anytime soon. My heart goes out to them. In the overall scheme of things, Jeer Jan, you can count your blessings and after you get over these blues, you will again start looking forward to seeing them soon. Be good azizam. I pray for your parents' safe journey home.
